Avery's 1st Birthday

Nicole reached out to me to take her daughter, Avery, first birthday photos back in October. Avery was such a cutie and so sweet! She did make me work hard as she did not want to smile but with a face that cute, no smiles was okay. We took her photos at Red Hill Park in Rancho Cucamonga.

I hardly get to work with babies which is ironic because they are my absolute favorite! So my excitement when I captured these was pretty big. The balloons were a bit of a struggle and having to be patient for the wind to die down and competing with the patience of a toddler, it was a challenge. But it was so worth it seeing how cute these photos were.

The session lasted about an hour, until Avery had enough. This age group is my favorite and also if you know how one year olds are, you know how much of a challenge it can be taking photos of them. Once they get tired, you basically stop. So once we noticed she was getting restless, we stopped.

But I had such a blast capturing her photos for her first birthday!

I loved the colors that Nicole chose as well. Fun fact, these are my two favorite colors! She was darling and even thought she didn’t want to smile, it worked out!
